Day 17 P90X Workout Review
P90X Shoulders & Arms
I absolutely love P90X Shoulders & Arms. This is my favorite workout in the P90X Program. I enjoy it so much that I actually got myself out of bed at 5 am this morning, and I am really not a morning person. If you have read much of my blog, you know that I have been trying to start working out in the mornings consistently. So far I have not succeeded. I have a lot of trouble getting out of bed when I can tell myself that I can sleep for an additional hour and a half if I just do my work out that evening. However, I love P90X Shoulders & Arm so much that I am always excited to do it. I was out of bed and pumped up and ready to go with little effort.
I can once again see an improvement in my strength over the last time that I completed P90X Shoulders & Arms. I had expected that since I was working out on an empty stomach and immediately after having slept for just over 7 hours that I would be a little weaker than normal. That was not the case, I felt stronger than ever. There is something that I truly love about grabbing a heavy set of dumbbells and then challenging myself to lift them in an assortment of ways for 8 – 10 repetitions. It makes me feel alive and like I can take on the world. This must be what a workout high feels like. It is a fantastic way to start the day.
I decided to adjust my nutrition a bit to better follow the P90X fat shredder diet. I am following a program that I got from my Beachbody Coach. I am taking in about 1900 calories, 50% protein, 30% cabs, and 20% fat. I haven’t felt any unusual hunger or lack of energy due to my decrease of about 500 calories, but it is only the first day. I am hoping that this will better enable me to get to the goals that I have by the end of P90X so that I can enter Insanity the Asylum in fantastic shape.
I am in another class all this week at work. This wouldn’t be such a big problem if I didn’t live in an apartment and I wasn’t waiting on a package that contains all of the Whey and Casein protein that I am currently out of. You see, the mail man will deliver this to the main office since the boxes are not large enough. This means that I will need to pick it up from the office, but my class is about 45 minutes from home and it last until about 6 and the main office closes at 6. So I will not be able to pick up my protein until Friday! Darn!
P90X Ab Ripper X
And yet another very successful day of P90X Ab Ripper X! I am really starting to love this workout. I can feel my core getting much stronger. I am starting to see what might at some point be a six pack! I have read a lot of reviews about Ab Ripper X where people have said that they were unable to complete the whole thing without needing a break until their second round. I feel like I might actually accomplish this before the end of my first round of P90X. That might be setting my goal a little too high, but at the rate that my body is changing and that I am gaining strength, I feel like it will be very achievable.
