Day 15 P90X Workout Review
P90X Chest & Back
Today I did not feel as strong as I did the last time that I did P90X Chest & Back. However, I did feel good throughout the entire workout. I was able to complete the entire thing without any major struggles. I was certainly having trouble reaching the goals that I set for my pull-ups towards the end of the workout.
I am still using the same weights for each of the weight resistance exercises in P90X Chest & Back. I feel like these weights are about perfect for me right now. They allow me to get in about 8-10 repetitions for each set. I still need to use a chair for just about all of my pull-ups. I am able to get a few pull-ups in without the chair towards the beginning of the workout, but as my arms get tired, I am unable to do a single one without assistance from the chair. I tried to do 15 pull-ups in each set in the first round today and 10 pull-ups of each set in the second round. I was successfully, but only with a lot of help from the chair. My pushups are getting much better. I set a goal to do 20 in each set. I was able to do this just fine during the first round, but on the second round, I had to go to my knees to finish up the last 5 of each set.
Overall I am very happy with today’s workout. It could have been better, and I would have like to of felt as strong and pumped up as I did last week, but not every day is going to be awesome. I set a goal for each set of each exercise, and on some of them, I had to modify in order to reach the goal. It is important to know that this is okay. Moving forward, my goal will be to reach the same goals without modification, and then I will increase the reps of my goals and do it again.
P90X Ab Ripper X
P90X Ab Ripper X was great today. I am really starting to like this. I have never liked an abdominal workout before, but I am starting to get good at this one. I did at least 15 reps of each of the abdominal workouts today, and more on many of them. I can tell a huge difference in the strength of my abs from when I starting doing this workout. This is very encouraging and I am really looking forward to seeing how much stronger Ab Ripper X gets my core.
