P90X Day 12 Workout Review
P90X Legs & Back
I am really starting to love P90X Legs & Back! It is number three on my favorite P90X workouts so far. I feel good all the way through it, and I love working the large muscle groups as it gets a good sweat and burn going without having to feel like you are doing a large amount of cardio. I hear a lot of people on Facebook complaining about leg day, I have to disagree with this. P90X Legs & Back is an excellent leg workout.
One of the things that I like the most about P90X Legs & Back is that I am actually able to keep up with most of the workout. I have to use a chair to assist met in most of the pull-ups and I have a lot of difficulty doing the one leg squat style exercises, mostly because of bad balance. Outside of that, I can pretty much push through this workout without any issues and with little rest.
The last time I did P90X Legs & Back, I was super sore the next day, and even more so the day after that. I expect to be sore again tomorrow. My plan is to keep doing what I am doing until my legs are no longer extremely sore the next day, and then I will add or increase the amount of weight that I am using in each exercise.
I am really starting to see some major improvement in my ability to do pull-ups. I am actually able to do 6 pull-ups without chair assistance towards the first half of the workout. This is huge as I went in to P90X only able to do 2 and maybe a half. I cannot think of anything else that I have done that has had more than a 100% increase in performance in under two weeks. This is very exciting.
P90X Ab Ripper X
Once again I had a better Ab Ripper X experience than the last time I completed it. I am still nowhere near being able to keep up in this, but I am able to do at least 10 of each of the exercises before needing to take a break and then get back to it. On some of the exercises I am able to do more before needing a break. I can make it through the first 4 exercises without needing a break at all. This is huge as I was nowhere near this when I started.
