P90X Workout Review Day 10
P90X Shoulders & Arms
I love P90X Shoulders & Arms! This is hands down my favorite P90X workout so far. Today went very well. I am feeling much stronger than I did the first time that I did P90X Shoulders & Arms. I am getting much closer to finding the perfect weight for each of the exercises. I am trying to find a weight that will challenge me to complete 8 repetitions. Surprisingly enough, I actually do not need to adjust my weights as often as I had expected. Even when I do, the Bowflex SelectTech 552s have proven to be very quick for swapping out the weight.
The dumbbell weight that is am using right now in P90X Shoulders & Arms ranges from 10-40lbs. I only use 10lbs on one exercise, triceps kickbacks. I use 15lbs on some of the straight arm shoulder fly’s that are later in the video, as my shoulders will be exhausted by the point that I get to them. Other than those, I use between 20-40lbs for the rest of the exercises.
Currently my goal is to be able to increase the weight that I am using by 10-15lbs in each exercise by day 60. It is somewhat of a stretch, but I do not feel like it is unachievable. It is important to set difficult goals after all.
I am so excited to do P90X Shoulders & Arms again next week. Both times I have done it so far, I feel like I am getting stronger by the minute. I have very little experience doing weight resistance training, and I am falling in love. It is completely changing my mind set about me feeling weak. By the time I am finished with the workout, I feel like the Hulk. My Shoulders & Arms are rock solid, and my ego is boosted sky high because I feel like I just lifted a car off the ground. It doesn’t take long for me to get back down to earth and feel normal again. But for a few minutes, I feel like I can take on the world!
P90X Ab Ripper X
I went into P90X ARX pumped up and full of energy today, and I could tell a huge difference. Today was the first time of Ab Ripper X that I really felt like I had improved. I was able to keep up with most of the exercises. Yes, that’s right; I almost did all of them! I was forced to take a couple of breaks during the last few exercises, but I hopped right back in after no more than 2-3 seconds. I have the hardest time with Roll-up/V-up Combos. I am getting better at them, but my abs feel like they are going to burst during the V-up portion. I think that it is just because my abs are so exhausted by the time I get to them. Overall, I think that I am starting too really like P90X Ab Ripper X.
Thank you for reading my day 10 P90X workout review. Tomorrow will be Day 11, P90X Yoga X. If you read my review from the last time that I did Yoga X, you might remember that I hated it. I will be trying it with Yoga Black this week, so hopefully this improves my ability to do many of the positions. Be sure to check back in to find out.
